So you're here - Welcome!
This is a new Blog that I've started about the experience of having a child with Special Needs. It is hoped that this blog will build an online community to share our joint experiences, the highs and the lows, as we embark on this journey.
It is my long term aim to be in a position to lobby the Government on it's policies across a spectrum of Special Needs issues and to also develop a Charity Foundation that will benefit children, siblings and parents from an early age to help those kids meet their own potential.
I have a son, Thomas, who is now 6 years old, who has a variety of difficulties which stem from a brain injury suffered at birth. He is a surviving twin, which no doubt contributed to his disablities. So not only do I have the experience of a child with Special Needs, I am also able to offer some help and guidance to those of you that have also lost a child. Enough sad stuff for the moment though - it's only the introduction!
